Still Kickin' SMS Notifications - Stay connected to the people who count on you.
Still Kickin’ is a personal check-in app that helps people stay connected with the family members, friends, and other trusted individuals they choose as their Trusted Circle.
When a Still Kickin’ user misses a scheduled check-in, members of their Trusted Circle who have agreed to receive SMS notifications may receive a text letting them know the check-in was missed.
Still Kickin’ is not an emergency service and does not contact 911 or other emergency services.
How Still Kickin’ SMS Alerts Work
A Still Kickin’ user can invite someone they trust to join their Trusted Circle.
Before SMS alerts are enabled for a Trusted Circle member, that person is informed that Still Kickin’ may send them text messages related to the inviting user’s scheduled check-ins.
SMS notifications may include:
A confirmation or invitation related to participation in a Trusted Circle.
A test notification initiated by the Still Kickin’ user.
A notification that the Still Kickin’ user has missed a scheduled check-in.
Service-related information necessary to manage SMS notifications.
Still Kickin’ SMS messages are informational and service-related. They are not used for advertising or promotional marketing.
SMS Consent
Receiving Still Kickin’ SMS alerts is optional.
Before SMS notifications are activated, the recipient must affirmatively agree to receive text messages from Still Kickin’.
The recipient may choose not to receive SMS notifications and may still communicate with the Still Kickin’ user through other methods.
Consent disclosure
I agree to receive informational text messages from Still Kickin’ relating to a Trusted Circle invitation and check-in notifications for the Still Kickin’ user who invited me.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
By opting in, you acknowledge that Still Kickin’ is not an emergency service and does not contact emergency responders on your behalf.
How Consent Is Obtained
1. A Trusted Circle invitation is created
A Still Kickin’ user selects someone they trust and invites that person to participate in their Trusted Circle.
Adding a Trusted Circle contact does not automatically enroll that individual in SMS notifications. SMS alerts are activated only after the Trusted Circle recipient agrees to receive them.
2. The Trusted Circle recipient reviews the SMS disclosure
Before enabling SMS alerts, the Trusted Circle recipient is shown information explaining:
That messages will come from Still Kickin’.
Why the messages may be sent.
That message frequency varies.
That message and data rates may apply.
That they may reply STOP at any time.
That HELP is available.
That participation is optional.
That Still Kickin’ is not an emergency service.
3. The recipient chooses whether to receive SMS alerts
The Trusted Circle member must take an affirmative action to enable SMS notifications.
4. SMS alerts become activeOnce consent has been provided, SMS alerts can be enabled for that Trusted Circle member.
Example of Still Kickin’ Messages
Trusted Circle confirmation
Still Kickin’: You’ve agreed to receive check-in alerts related to James. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Still Kickin’: James has missed a scheduled check-in. This does not necessarily mean there is an emergency. Please try contacting James directly. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Test alert
Still Kickin’: This is a test alert requested by James. No action is required. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Message Frequency
How often will I receive texts?
Message frequency varies based on the Still Kickin’ user’s check-in schedule and whether a scheduled check-in is missed.
Still Kickin’ does not send recurring advertising or promotional SMS messages.
A Trusted Circle member may receive occasional service-related messages, test notifications requested by the Still Kickin’ user, and missed check-in alerts.
Message and data rates may apply.
Opting Out
How do I stop receiving SMS alerts?
You may stop receiving Still Kickin’ SMS notifications at any time by replying:
STOP
After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from the Still Kickin’ messaging program unless you later opt in again through an available consent process.
I’d keep this wording relatively simple. Twilio can automatically handle standard opt-out keywords through its messaging infrastructure, depending on your Messaging Service configuration.
